| A Modern apprenticeship is a pathway into employment and training for youth between the ages of 16 and 21. |

| The training leads to a National Certificate at levels 3 and 4 on the National Qualifications Framework. |

| In the Agriculture and Horticulture field the timeframe is usually 3 years. During the course of your apprenticeship a Co-Ordinator is assigned to you and they visit four times per year or more if need be and keep you focused and motivated, setting goals for you to achieve within a set timeframe and sorting out any problems that may arise. |
| Their focus is on your success, so if you are keen and motivated this is a great way to learn and earn at the same time. |
